After spending the last 25 years in real estate and the building industry, I realised that one of the biggest obstacles that people face when it comes to property is simply a lack of confidence in buying and selling. In real estate, and in life more generally, knowledge is power. Buying and selling a house is one of the biggest financial decisions you can make and it’s incredibly important that you are armed with the right information. That’s where my services come in.

I use my extensive knowledge, experience and sheer passion to help my clients who need to sell or buy property, without the pressure of dealing with an agent. It’s no secret that real estate agents aren’t exactly topping the list of the most trusted professions, so I’ve created a superior service that helps clients buy and sell with confidence, saving them valuable time, money and stress.

Bottom line- I take away the pain and anxiety that is often felt when dealing with real estate agents so my clients have control over the decisions they need to make.

I began my career in real estate at a large residential and commercial estate agency on the beautiful Mornington Peninsula. During my time there I was fortunate to have had the opportunity to experience all facets of the industry; from administration, trust accounting and customer service through to property management and sales. 

After completing a Bachelor of Property and Real Estate at Deakin University, I relocated to Bayside to work alongside one of the region’s most renowned auctioneers as his PA and buyer’s agent. 

A professional opportunity took my husband and I overseas for the better part of a decade, during which time we bought and sold several properties in both Australia and abroad. 

I have now permanently returned to Bayside and am thrilled to have joined Lisa and the team at AJ Stafford Property Advocates to assist buyers and sellers to accomplish their property goals.  

Having personally navigated the challenges of buying and selling real estate as a first home buyer, investor and up-sizer, whilst simultaneously juggling the demands of being a working mother, I offer my clients a level of empathy and understanding that few in the industry can match.   

Been outbid on your dream home? I’ve been there. 

Received no bids or offers on a home you’re selling? I’ve done that. 

Dragged children around all weekend to open for inspections only to find that none fit the bill and you have to do it all again next weekend? Yep.   

Bundled a baby, two dogs and a laundry hamper of dirty washing into the back of your car and driven around the block for an hour while your home is open for inspection? No? Okay, well maybe that was just me! 

Along with my wonderful colleagues at AJ Stafford, I’m thrilled to have returned to the industry to be able to offer my expertise to my client base and add value to their property transactions.

My love of property and real estate was sparked following the purchase of my first home at 21 years old. In the years since, I have successfully secured a diverse portfolio of residential property, co-run a domestic building company and completed multiple residential development projects, all while working full time and raising three energetic boys! 

Professionally, I have held positions in sales, product development, corporate services and support work with the common thread throughout each being a focus on helping people. 

Leaning on the skills I developed in these roles and with a desire to challenge myself beyond what I’d already accomplished, I decided to embark on a career change to turn my passion for property into my profession. I have since completed additional qualifications and am thrilled to have joined the team at AJ Stafford as a Property Advocate where I’m able to combine my two passions: property and helping others. 

The real estate industry in Melbourne is one of the most complex and competitive in the world. I am so happy to now be able to demystify the buying and selling process for my clients to help them achieve their property goals.  

Outside of work you will find me watching my three sons play basketball, playing netball myself, catching up and friends or waterskiing at Bridgewater. My husband and I are also currently in the process of building our dream home which is a huge accomplishment for us and another way in which I can empathise with clients who have been through the same challenging but hugely rewarding journey.
